Deborah Ellis is an engaging speaker with a passion for reading.   As a writer, educator and presenter, this long-time activist has received international acclaim with her dramatic books that give Western readers a glimpse into the plight of children in developing countries. This evening event is one of COTLA’s ways of highlighting the importance of school libraries, teacher-librarians and reading-the interconnected literacy building blocks.   Come celebrate SD23 Education Week with local teacher-librarians and author Deborah Ellis.
